Experience the Magic of Winter Sitting Down

Glide through powder with grace and confidence. Snow Magic transforms winter sports into an accessible adventure.

A revolutionary recumbent snowboard that lets you sit, steer, and carve—designed for seniors, adaptive riders, and anyone seeking a safer path to the slopes.

Recumbent snowboard prototype labeled EXPERIMENTAL with wing seat and front foot supports on grass.

The Problem

Most ski & snowboard injuries are falls or loss of control—especially for beginners and older riders. Standing side-on with no forward protection can feel risky.

The Solution

Snow Magic lowers the center of gravity, places feet forward as a bumper, and uses a hand brake/control stick with tiger-paw snow brakes to slow and stop while moving forward in predictable, graceful turns.

Lower Center of Gravity

Reduced fall risk and impact severity

Intuitive Steering

Hand controls instead of complex body movements

Comfortable Seating

Wing-style seat for stability and support

Traditional Stand-Up vs Snow Magic

See how Snow Magic compares to traditional skiing and snowboarding

Feature
Traditional Stand-Up
Snow Magic
Center of Gravity
High — standing upright increases fall risk
Low — seated position for maximum stability
Braking
Edge control only — no true brake, hard to stop quickly
Hand brake with tiger-paw snow brakes — stop while moving forward
Learning Curve
Steep — days or weeks to feel confident
Fast — 15 minutes + 3 bunny runs → intermediate ready

How It Works

Snow Magic combines the stability of recumbent design with intuitive controls for a safer, more accessible snowboarding experience.

1. Sit & Balance

Sit on the wing seat at the aft end, hands on side holds; feet rest in forward foot supports.

2. Steer by Weight + Stick

Gently transfer weight; the parabolic board carves smooth "swan-type" turns. The control stick assists steering and braking.

3. Brake & Stop

Squeeze the handle to actuate tiger-paw snow brakes underneath—slow or stop while going forward.

4. Chairlift Friendly

Rider sits on the chair with the board on the lap for loading; lifts provide a brief pause for easy unload. (Subject to resort policy and operator assistance.)

Why It's Exceptional

Safety and inclusivity designed into every aspect of the Snow Magic experience.

Safer by Design

Safer by design than standard skis/snowboards and even the chairlift experience for beginners.

Superior Control

Stops while moving forward — superior control, fewer abrupt movements, more predictable handling.

Fast to Learn

15 minutes of basics + 3 bunny-slope runs → ready for an intermediate run.

For Everyone

Seniors, adaptive riders, or anyone "not athletically inclined" who still wants the mountain joy.

Safety Differentiators

  • Low center of gravity—much harder to topple.
  • Feet forward act like a bumper; typical skiers/boarders have no forward protection.
  • Forward-only movement—no twisting/rotary motions.
  • Smooth "swan" turns, not sharp jerks—predictable steering via weight transfer + stick.
  • No poles flailing around; 5 contact points (2 feet, 2 hands, seat).
  • Simple to operate—difficulty comparable to a child's tricycle.
  • Speed envelope—similar to water-ski comfort range; aligned with normal mountain traffic speeds.
  • (Always follow resort rules and safe-speed etiquette.)
